The NZSO has just finished a successful three-centre tour with (to quote William Dart, NZ Herald reviewer) the 'Hippest chick on the block' [And she is. Ed] - Miss Marlena Shaw, accompanied by Nathan Haines and band - Nathan Haines, Flute and Saxophone, Joel Haines - Guitar, Nick Tipping - Double Bass, Kevin Field - Keyboard and Ron Samsom - Drums. They were under the baton of the NZSO's Associate Conductor - Hamish McKeich.
